We use Microsoft Teams to host online meetings, live events and discussions with College members, staff and stakeholders. Whether you need to join a meeting as a guest, create an account on the RCPCH Teams 'tenancy' or present at a live event, our help articles should provide you the information you need.

Join a Teams meeting as a guest
As a guest, you have two options for joining a Teams meeting: from an MS Teams app (if installed on your computer), or from your web browser.

What you can do with guest access in Teams
As a guest in an RCPCH Team, you can participate in a 'chat', join an online meeting, have one-to-one disucssions with other members of the Team, and access files and folders.

Switch between tenancies (accounts)
MS Teams has the option to switch between different tenancies (accounts). You may use MS Teams in your own NHS Trust, workplace or other organisation, so will need to know how to switch to the RCPCH account.

Attend a live event
A live event is [can we describe?]. Once you have the link to jon a live event, you can attend, watch the presentations, pause and resume the event, adjust your volument and video quality. If there's a Q&A enabled, you can type in questions and see the moderators' answers.

Present at a live event
A live event is [can we describe?]. As a presenter, you'll be able to speak to the attendees, selecting whether to share your video and/or presentation slides. You can also participate in the live Q&A if it's being used and chat with other presenters and the RCPCH staff acting as 'producers'.

Allow screen sharing in macOS 10.15+
Beginning with macOS Catalina 10.15, Apple introduced new security controls. For example, apps, including MS Teasm are now required to ask your permission before accessing your webcam, microphone, or recording/sharing your screen.
